Wayne B. Addis

Wayne B. Addis is a founding member of Addis Greenberg, LLC. His practice emphasizes Criminal Defense, DUI/Traffic and Municipal Law. He represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters in State Courts and administrative agencies. With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Addis has achieved tremendous results for his clients both at trial and through settlement.

He is the Prosecutor for the Villages of Northbrook, Morton Grove, Glencoe, Kenilworth, Wilmette, and the City of Park Ridge, IL. This distinguishes him from others in the fields of Criminal, Traffic and Municipal Law.

Mr. Addis spent eight years as an Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County, serving as a First Chair Felony Trial Assistant at the main 26th and California Criminal Courthouse. While there, he prosecuted every imaginable felony case. He was also an Assistant State’s Attorney assigned to the Federal Litigation Division. Additionally, during his tenure he was appointed as a Special Assistant State's Attorney to the President of the Cook County Board on matters of local and national significance.

At the inception of his legal career, Mr. Addis served as a Felony Trial Attorney for the Cook County Public Defender's Office.

Mr. Addis is a graduate of Northern Illinois University (B.A. 1975) and Northern Illinois University College of Law (J. D. 1978).

Joel M. Greenberg

Joel M. Greenberg is a member of Addis Greenberg, LLC. He is a litigation specialist, performing trial work for over 45 years. Mr. Greenberg's criminal practice includes representation of clients charged with Felonies, DUIs, Misdemeanors, and Traffic and Ordinance Violations. 

As a seasoned litigator, Mr. Greenberg came to the firm in 1994 from The Law Offices of Sherwin Greenberg, where he defended general negligence, premise liability and Structural Work Act cases.

From 1975 to 1991, Mr. Greenberg served as First Chair Trial Assistant with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted major felonies. With the Special Prosecutions Bureau, he was responsible for investigating, indicting and prosecuting complex financial crimes. He litigated more than 50 felony jury trials and in excess of 500 bench trials while serving as a Deputy Chief of the Second Municipal District of the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau. Additionally, as a member of the Civil Actions Bureau, he represented Cook County elected officials and conducted litigation in Federal District Court and the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Mr. Greenberg received his Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law after graduating from St. Louis University with a B.A.
